2011 in Review

I don’t obsess over stats (or at least I try not to) but the WordPress.com stat helper monkeys created the following presentation.  The least I could do is share it.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 110,000 times in 2011. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 5 days for that many people to see it.

  1. Wow! I’d say so Clark. You, by far (like by 5X, at least of those who posted their stats), have the most views of all the single-author sites I frequent. That’s pretty impressive, no matter what you feel about stats.

    Thanks guys. I’m still blown away be these blogs that get 200 comments on a single post. There aren’t dozens of people “tuning in” to my blog every day to see what’s going on, but it has done well all things considered. If I wanted a million fans I would have to blog about something else, but that was never the point. -Clark

  2. Check your email. The address you gave WordPress when you joined should have a message from WordPress.com. If you filter your email it could have been caught before you saw it. The email has a link to view the full report; once there you can make it public and then post to your blog.

  3. Hmm. I’ve not had one. And a quick search though WordPress support forums indicates that not everyone gets them. I’ve emailed…
