Michael Phelps ends his Olympic career with a record breaking 22 total medals. This will be the week for track and field events, and basketball teams will begin knock-out rounds today as well. Team USA had their first “close call” with Lithuania, winning by only 6 points.
Chick-fil-A set new sales records last Wednesday, courtesy of Mike Huckabee sponsored Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. Not all Christians stand in agreement, which should come as no big surprise. Other things Christians disagree on include infant baptism, the Lord’s Supper, the divinity of Christ and who can be saved.

Summer may not be over, but summer break? Yeah, that’s about done. I have been in some type of youth ministry for over 20 years, and have many friends that are teachers. Chances are school begins this week or next where you are, let’s pray for the next generation.
God is in control. No matter what happens down here, God is never taken by surprise. He has ordained the events of history, and works all things together for our ultimate good. He has plans to prosper and not to harm you. There is much to distract us from our task, which is sharing the Gospel. Share the Gospel.
