Here is the list of stores that will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, pushing the Black Friday madness all the way back to, you  know, Friday. Add LifeWay Christian Stores to that list, which should be a no brainer.

Today, Monday November 24, is International Day of the Bible. Sponsored by You Version and American Bible Society, Bible readers around the world will be reading the Bible in public during the noon hour in their local time zone. Read more here.

And have a Happy Monday!

  1. International Day of the Bible partners with You Version, American Bible Society, Bible Gateway and Scripture Union to promote public use of the scriptures on this day. The Master’s Table is a member of the Bible Gateway Blogger Grid. We longer tag Happy Monday posts but if we did this one would get a #bgbg2.

At noon in your local time zone, please read the Bible for a few minutes, share your favorite verse via some type of social media, or get creative. Use the hashtag #BibleCelebration on Facebook and Twitter. Let’s also pray for those groups without a translation in their own native language and for the work being done translating, printing and distributing scripture. Our commision to “Go into all the world” has yet to be accomplished.
