Satur-deja vu

Have I seen this before? I’ve been struggling with a name for our weekend review post and was somewhat resigned to the fact that Saturday Doubletake was as good as it was going to get. My wife suggested Deja vu a couple of weeks ago and last night I combined the two words together: Satur-deja vu. I think it’s clever, imaginative, and combines the carefree relaxed nature of Saturday afternoon with the French expression deja vu which literally means “already seen.” Teresa loved it and no one else has given me any input or suggestions up to this point. So let’s reflect on the week that was, wrap up any unfinished business, and maybe throw in a fun bit or two.

Doubletake

The music theme was apparent but unintentional; we noticed but didn’t say anything. BTW, I link Wednesday Connect each week on The Master’s Table Facebook page and my personal Twitter feed so if you’re not following Paul Wilkinson you might want to at least check it out.

A couple of items in the news this week; the new round of tariffs potentially affecting Bible prices was covered by several sources, graves being opened at the Vatican perhaps not so much. Continue reading

Saturday Doubletake

On the weekend we like to review the past week, make sure we didn’t miss anything, tie up some loose ends. We haven’t settled on a title but my wife has suggested deja vu, which literally translates to “already seen.” That makes sense but it’s just so French. The floor is still open for nominations.

  • Happy Monday was filled with coffee memes, verses of scripture, inspiring quotes and funny cartoons, per the usual. In honor of law enforcement everywhere who put in long hours and did not take any vacation days this week we are pleased to share this story again:
